EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a major in accounting, finance, business administration with accounting emphasis, and/or another business-related field.
Preferred: Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suites. A minimum of two to three years’ experience in preparing financial analysis, maintaining a general ledger system, preparing financial statements, preparing grant cost reports, regulatory work experience in fund and/or governmental accounting.

JOB PURPOSE:
Maintains the general ledger accounts by posting daily and/or monthly transactions, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities. Ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as compliance with state and federal contract requirements.
