POSITION TITLE: Manager, IDD

WORKSITE LOCATION: Gulf Bend Regional Plaza

STARTING SALARY: $47,632 EEOC CODE: Professional FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SHIFT: Fulltime; Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, some on-call shifts evenings or weekends

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social, behavioral or human services or a registered nurse (social, behavioral, and human services are: psychology; social work; medicine; nursing; rehabilitation; counseling; sociology; human development; physician's assistant; gerontology; education psychology; special education; early childhood intervention; or early childhood education) and minimum two (2) years' experience with working with individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disability; one year management or supervisory experience.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES:
1. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
2. Provides clinical support and guidance to team members.
3. Makes recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions.
4. Reviews and approves timesheets, leave requests, and expense reports per Center policy. Approval of timesheets is 100% compliant.
5. Develops and conducts training programs for staff as needed.
6. Provides individualized supervision to direct reports regarding job performance. Performance Appraisals, Supervision, and Corrective Actions for direct reports comply with Center policy.
7. Facilitates regularly scheduled and as needed IDD team meetings; attends GBC Manager meetings
8. Assists with program planning, training, and development to improve staff competencies, morale, and retention.
9. Monitors and evaluates staff performance and departmental processes to ensure compliance in accordance with the HHSC contract, Medicaid Rule, and Center policy. Reports any barriers or concerns to Director of IDD with a solution-oriented focus.
10. Evaluates current processes of IDD program; collects and analyzes data to recommend changes for increased efficiencies and improved outcomes.
11. Provides management oversight of caseload assignments on new enrollments and transfers.
12. Assists Service Coordinators/Habilitation Coordinators in meeting contractual and center expectations and by providing caseload coverage when needed.
13. Participates in the quality assurance and chart review process of all individuals receiving IDD and PASRR services to ensure quality services.
14. Participates in the CAO Review with HHSC and assists with developing and implementing any required corrective action plans and compliance reviews for enhanced quality improvement.
15. Uses the trauma informed approach when providing services and working with others.

- Understands the Four R's of trauma-informed care.
- Understands the six key principles of trauma-informed care.

Preferred: Two years' management or supervisory experience.

DEGREE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

OTHER REQUIREMENTS OR CONDITIONS:

  1. Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. Liability insurance required.
  2. Must be insurable by Center's liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business.
  3. Must complete all training requirements prior to the due date. Attend required training and consortia meetings. Relias training and any other training required for the role is 100% compliant.

  1. Must maintain regular and reliable attendance, including compliance with the telework agreement. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm or agreed upon hours 100% of the time, to ensure consistency and completeness of the program's processes. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
