JOB TITLE: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
WORKSITE LOCATION: Gulf Bend Regional Plaza, 6502 Nursery Drive, Suite 100, Victoria TX 77904

SHIFT: Fulltime Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm; late clinic 5:00pm to 7:00pm once a month.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides face-to-face psychiatric assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and/or adults, presenting in the Gulf Bend outpatient clinic, within the practitioner's scope of practice. Working in collaboration with an interdisciplinary management team in identifying and addressing the needs of the clinic.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Graduation from an accredited school with a Master of Science in Nursing.
DEGREE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
- License in the State of Texas to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES:
- Deliver psychiatric care services to customers to meet customer and program needs.
- Ensure all services delivered adhere to applicable standards and regulations, including the Center's compliance program.
- Provide treatment that meets payer expectations.
- Provide staff with education and training
- Develop, provide, and oversee other community and/or public psychiatric health services that expand the Center's capacity and ability to meet the broader healthcare needs of the communities Gulf Bend Center serves.
- Provide public education and engage in related functions, to include training, speaking engagements, marketing, and/or working with various collaboratives.
- Participate in the quality assurance and utilization review process of services to ensure compliance standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and COMPETENCY:
- Program Specific: Experience in working with individuals with mental illness. Must be able to work assertively and flexibly as a team member per Gulf Bend Center policies and procedures. Must be knowledgeable of community agencies and mental health programs and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. May assist with short and long-range planning of Center programs and public relations. May require after-hours flexibility. Requires local and service area travel and occasional use of personal vehicle.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with strong organizational skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Task management: Ability to perform tasks effectively and efficiently and to handle multiple priorities in a confidential environment. Must have strong attention to detail. Ability to plan and schedule work and implement directives without constant supervision. Must have good organizational skills to achieve multiple deadlines.

- Dress code: Adherence to Center Dress Code to present a professional appearance and conduct when representing the Center.
- Fleet: Completes fleet checklist as required. Report all fleet problems directly to the Program Director within 24 hours of identifying problem. Uses GeoTab key fob in fleet vehicles and maintains road safety compliance.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS OR CONDITIONS
- Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. Liability insurance required.
- Must be insurable by Center's liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business. Safe driving record as defined by Gulf Bend Center.
- Must have computer experience to include Microsoft Word, Excel (beginner to intermediate level), Outlook, Teams, and Zoom. Ability to type 40 wpm. Ability to operate office equipment (copy machine, fax).
- Must complete all training requirements prior to the due date. Attend required training and team meetings. Relias training and any other training required for the role per Center policy.
- Must maintain regular and reliable attendance, including compliance with the telework agreement. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm or agreed upon hours 100% of the time, to ensure consistency and completeness of the program's processes. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
